Jim Kueny Becomes Area Manager For 'Golf To End Cancer' In Michigan

Whitehall, MI -- Jim Kueny, a PGA of America member since 1988, has become the Area Manager for the State of Michigan for "Golf To End Cancer," a new wellness program by the Marathon of Miracles nonprofit.  Kueny, a 52-year-old veteran of the golf industry, is also a golf rep for Precision Gloves.  His daughter Laura, 23, is a member of the LPGA's Symetra Tour who endorses Golf To End Cancer and Marathon of Miracle's line of all-natural energy bars. Laura is also sponsored by Miessence, makers of certified organic health and personal care products, and supporters of the Golf To End Cancer program.
"I am a firm believer that much, and I put a heavy emphasis on much, of the disease and sickness in the world today is being brought upon by unhealthy living practices," said Kueny, who has been married to wife Karen, an RN, for 28 years and whose other daughter Nicole is a Masseuse (her husband Jay is a Chiropractor).  "It's like people wait until they get hit by a car, before they decide to look both ways before crossing a street the next time, if there even is a next time. That was me 19 years ago, when it took my youngest daughter Laura's, childhood leukemia diagnosis, to wake me up about changing my (our) lifestyle habits. By the grace of God, we were given a next time. With the Golf To End Cancer program, we can offer people ways to incorporate simple lifestyle changes into their daily routines that can help them live a longer, healthier life, and not wait to see if they will be given a next time. I'm excited to bring this worthwhile cause to the people of Michigan!"
Marathon of Miracles, a wellness and cancer prevention nonprofit, launched Golf To End Cancer (G2EC) to bring wellness and cancer prevention education into golf in order to reach business and community leaders who can reach the masses.  G2EC Wellness Day events at public, private and resort golf courses and driving ranges will feature holistic health practitioners like massage, acupuncture, reflexology and yoga, along with all-natural and eco-friendly product displays.  G2EC also features a social networking website atwww.GolfToEndCancer.com and an affinity rewards program that gives golfers great incentives, such as VIP events and products and services at up to 75% off retail.  All profits support support efforts to end cancer through wellness and cancer prevention education.

"Cancer is a financially devastating disease that affects the entire family," said MOM and G2EC's Chief Vision Officer and Co-Founder A.J. Ali.  "My wife Jane and I experienced it firsthand when she went through her battle with cancer in 2005 and 2006.  We have also lost a dozen relatives and close friends to cancer during the past decade.  My wife and I want to help keep families together and help to get them the resources they need to get healthy.  Golf To End Cancer can make a big difference and help save lives.  Cancer is mostly a preventable disease and we hope to educate as many people as possible that they can be empowered to live healthy lives free of cancer and other diseases."

Marathon of Miracles started promoting wellness and cancer prevention in the golf industry in 2006 and introduced a line of all-natural snacks at the PGA Show in 2010 in a joint venture with SCNS Sports Foods, the makers of the 1st Tee and 10th Tee bars.  MOM Snacks are now in more than 800 golf shops, retail stores and online retailers in the U.S., Canada and the Dominican Republic -- and growing fast.  The bars are delicious and incredibly healthy for you, featuring natural and organic ingredients and no processed anything.  The bars are kosher, diabetic friendly and include many ingredients that boost the immune system's ability to fight cancer.
